Never knew what a “Polar Vortex” was until last week. Prefer not to see another after the extreme cold, wind and
pipes. However, the changes in the barameter made some of the better fishing for some, once it passed.

Fridays rain did not hurt the lakes. Expect about a foot of ice and less snow. Its definiitely power auger time or
you won’t cut many holes. Its not recommened but pickpus are starting to drive on the lakes.

The pike and crappie were active on both lakes.

Looks like the crappie and other panfish have left the Causeway on Lake Cadillac. Those fishing there say its slowing.
They may have to move to the Kenwood Park Area. Most there are happy with their catches.
