The End is Near

image

As the sun and warmer weather start hitting the ice this week things could get bad along the shoreline as far as getting out on the ice. I think this will be the last weekend for ice fishing in Northern Michigan.

Higgins Lake they are still getting out with perch and smelt still biting.

Ice conditions have changed! Two days of heavy rain and warm temperatures have opened the shore line in some places. Expect honeycomb conditions.

FROM PILGRIM VILLAGE FISHING SHOP

The DNR is recommending fishermen to stay off all lakes.

It may be time to head to the Manistee River for steelhead.
