Interlochness Ice Fishing Tournament.

February 17th and 18th, Free Fishing Weekend, is Interlochness Ice Fishing Tournament.
Any lake in Grand Traverse, Leelanau and Benzie Counties – as well as Lake Michigan.
Divisions are Pike, Lake Trout, Perch, Panfish, and Walleye. Mission Awards is donating trophies. We have some cool prizes for kids as well as some gift cards from Long Lake Grocery. You may register at either Havens Interlochen Party Store.
You must be registered or be in line to register by 9am Saturday the 17th. We had a great turnout last year and we’re hoping for an even better one this year. Last year’s 1st place pike won $391.00. All of the other division’s first place winners took home at least $200.

Rules for 2018 Interlochness Tri-County Ice Fishing Tournament
Registration for this event must be completed before February 17 at 9am.
This is Michigan’s Free Fishing Weekend.
Although a fishing license is not required this weekend, all Michigan DNR fishing regulations are to be followed. Any non-legal fish brought to the weigh-in will be disqualified.
Anglers must pick at least one division in the tournament. You cannot have multiple entries in the same division. There is no limit on the amount of different divisions each angler chooses.
Ex: One angler might want to register for the Perch and the Walleye Divisions.
The tournament begins at 6am, Saturday, February 18 2018, and ends at 3pm the following day.
The weigh-in closes at 4pm at Interlochen Party Store. As long as you are in line to weigh your fish by 4pm, your fish will be weighed.
Waivers must be physically signed.
All fish brought to the weigh-in must be free of ice and snow to get an accurate weight.
Otherwise, they will not be weighed.
GTASFA membership is not required for this event.
Anglers may fish any body of water within Grand Traverse, Leelanau, and Benzie County – Including Lake Michigan.
There will be cash pay-outs for each division for the top three fish based on weight.
If there is a tie in weight, we will measure the fish and length will determine the winner.
Anglers will only be allowed to enter one fish per division!
15% goes to the Grand Traverse Area Sport Fishing Association.
The remaining 85% from individual divisions are paid out to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at 70%, 20%, and 10%.
The awards ceremony will be at the Haven’s Interlochen Party Store immediately after the weigh-in has closed.
