Higgins Lake is getting bad along the shoreline by Big Creek and some of the road ends. The west access site the ice has pushed up making it hard to get on the lake.
Smelt have been biting but things are winding down in a hurry with the ice getting thin along the shoreline.
Good ice on Houghton but the fishing was slow today.
