FISHING CONDITIONS ON LAKES CADILLAC AND MITCHELL
FROM PILGRIM VILLAGE FISHING SHOP
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2014
January 31st is history and so is the Pilgrim Village’s 12th Annual Pike Spearing Contest. It has been fun with often daily changes in the standings. Many have up-graded their fish several times. Heard stories of monster pike flashing through the holes. Usually, the really BIG ones don’t give much of a chance. Lots of “old Moes” are still out there.
1st Place was taken by Ray Long who waited for the
Last Day of the contest to spear a 37 1/4″,13.70 lb pike.
He usually sees several pike but this was the first big one.
Fred Miller lead the pack for a couple of weeks with a 34 1/8″, 8.64 lb northern, but was bumped to 2nd Place the last day.
