Around the circuit today it seems like the inland lakes are still slow, reports on Skegemog was the bigger perch are biting.
Crystal Lake the smelt fishing is great off of Lobb Rd.
Higgins Lake the perch and lake trout are biting great. Smelt fishing is terrible as I have not heard of one caught off the west access.
Houghton Lake was slow but a few fish started biting this afternoon with some nice perch being caught.
Lake Missaukee has been slow this week, Casey for Miller’s Corner fished Saginaw Bay during the week and the fishing was really slow as the ice has got so thick the walleye have shut down
Grand Traverse Bay the whitefish, lake trout, and ciscoes are still biting good but no reports of perch.
Portage lake has been slow but some fish started to bite this afternoon.
Lake Margrethe the fishing is slow with guys seeing lots of fish but they will not biting.
Burt, Mullet and black are real slow as too much snow and slush
